Numerical model for compression molding process of hybridly laminated thermoplastic composites based on anisotropic rheology

چکیده

In this work, a numerical model is developed for simulating the compression molding process of hybrid composite material, alternately laminated with continuous and discontinuous fiber-reinforced layers. Although various simulation models are already available plastic materials embedding each type reinforcements, they incapable simultaneously dealing continuity discontinuity. Here, thermomechanical behavior layer rheological separately modeled eventually integrated assuming perfectly bonded interfaces. The unified applied to full-scale battery pack structure an electric vehicle. A simple yet robust rheology test utilized measure properties necessary simulation. simulation, thermoforming charge successfully simulated fiber direction changes due suspension flow also predicted. It found that reoriented fibers significantly affect stress distributions at final stage process. in present study can be implemented into either Lagrangian or Eulerian framework.
